Bullard, Texas is a delightful, small town located just a quick 10 minutes south of Tyler, the large, metro city of East Texas. If the countryside is calling, but big city amenities are also, this town of grassy, rolling hills, fantastic schools, and good, friendly people might be for you. As a Tyler native, let me share with you the hidden gems within the lovely City of Bullard, Texas.
Dining Delights
Kiepersol Estates
If you are looking for a great patio overlooking rows and rows of grapevines, a morning brunch or evening date night at Kiepersol Winery is the place to be. Kiepersol offers a balance between elegant and rustic dining. My husband and I have spent many anniversaries in their intimate dining room, enjoying unique dishes such as their duck cigar appetizer and table side flambé banana’s foster. One of my local recommendations as places to stay for my out of state clients, Kiepersol is also a traditional Bed and Breakfast where guests can enjoy the East Texas scenery and homegrown wines and spirits. Make sure to experience this locally known gem, here in Bullard, Texas.
Recreational Activities
Parks and Recreation
Being a mom myself, finding clean, fun, and safe parks for my children is high on my priority list. Bullard Kid's Park at the north end of downtown is a great place to play year around. With unique towers and slides for the little, as well a an exercise station for adults to use, this delightful park attracts visitors all around the Tyler area. There are two areas for kids to play, with a smaller lower to the ground playground for children under 5 and larger playground equipment for big kids.
